Riding the Waves of Change
Workshop Session #1
Evangelism, discipleship, and impacting the world for Jesus in our current era. In the last five years there has been a change in western culture around the world that is impacting campuses across the globe especially as students come to the U.S. to study. This workshop will examine the changes that have happened, what has driven those changes, and how these changes will impact our ministry on campus specifically around evangelism and discipleship.
Stowe Campbell
Stowe along with his wife Sarah are the regional leaders for the Gulf Coast region and he also oversees Biblical Studies for the Navigators. Having just returned to the U.S. from almost a decade in New Zealand they live in Oxford, Mississippi with two of their three sons. In his spare time Stowe loves to work on his 1962 Land Rover.
AI and Ministry
Workshop Session #1
This workshop will highlight how AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, are rapidly evolving and bringing new capabilities each week. Together, we will explore practical tips for how Navigator staff can effectively leverage these tools to reduce administrative burdens and maximize time spent in ministry. The session is designed to be staff-focused, and encouraging for those seeking to use technology wisely in their disciplemaking ministry.
David Sheppard
David Sheppard met The Navigators while working for a software development company and first joined staff as an IT project manager in 2012. He went on to lead the Business Systems team, later served as vice president of Technology Services, and now serves as vice president of Ministry Operations. Prior to his career in IT, David was an associate pastor in both Texas and California and earned degrees in Christian Leadership and Theology from Jessup University and a master’s degree in Apologetics from Biola University. He and his wife, Tiffany, live in Parker, Colorado, and enjoy time with their four adult children and two young granddaughters.
Apologetics and Moral Outrage
Workshop Session #1
Moral Outrage in our current culture.
Darrell Dooyema
Darrell and his wife Annette, work with the International Student Ministry of The Navigators. Together they direct a summer program in Norway, where college students from the U.S. and other countries come to explore difficult questions of faith, gain missions experience, and grow in their walk with Jesus (see: www.elvheim.no). Darrell is also an affiliate professor of Philosophy at Colorado Christian University and enjoys the chance to help students think about the ultimate questions of life. He has degrees from Wheaton College (BA), Denver Seminary (MA), and Talbot School of Theology (DMin) and is a contributing author to the book Reasons to Believe. While he loves to ski and surf, his greatest joy (and most exciting challenge) is his three children, Dylan, Jared, and Eva Alice.

Partnering with Volunteers to Make Disciples
Workshop Session #2
I believe that unpaid volunteers (ie. Conventional Income Disciplemakers) have vital roles to play in our international student ministries. But what does it take to gather, come along side, and sustain teams of volunteers to not only serve behind the scenes but also invest deeply in the lives of students? Let’s learn together!
Adam Johnson
Since 2011 I have had the privilege of serving alongside Navigator teams in the Twin Cities. Originally from the Middle of Nowhere, Illinois, I grew up as a rural kid who loved sports. My life and ministry life has always been about teams. Whether it was leading student teams, short-term missions teams, or staff and volunteer teams, I’ve found its more fun (and sustainable!) when you do it together.
I’m not much for trying weird foods (intestines, bugs, etc). But I will say, I have yet to find an Indian dish that I don’t like! Lucky for us, our Indian neighbors regularly bring us new dishes to try!
Spiritual Warfare and Prayer
Workshop Session #2
Cultures, religions, organizations and people groups have vulnerabilities (strongholds) that can give demonic forces a foothold of influence. In this workshop we will talk about how to identify and combat strongholds and various forms of spiritual opposition, both overt and hidden. We will explore how to pray and use spiritual gifts in spiritual battle.
Peggy Reynoso
Fifty-two years in Navigator ministry have given me a taste of the wonders of God and the mysteries of spiritual warfare. I was privileged to live and work in a second culture and second language in Mexico for 20 years, along with my husband Paul. Developing Nav staff is my delight and passion, and I now work in TDC (Train-Develop-Care).
The Gospel of Sex
Workshop Session #2
Many of us grew up with a Christian background that has either been silent about sexuality or have only communicated negative messages about sex and sexuality (‘You don’t have sex before marriage’).
But why has God created our sexuality, what did He had in mind when he created us man and woman and why is it good?
No matter where we are coming from, our sexual orientation, our sexual history – Jesus calling on our sexuality as followers of Him is good news!
During this workshop we will dig into the scriptures to discover the Gospel message of our bodies, gender and sexuality.

After leading the training and development for young missionaries, he is now the director of iEDGE.
